Gelatin Crystals, Not Powdered Gelatin

I’m very disappointed with the 2 bottles of gelatin powder that I recently purchased. The gelatin is not powdered, but instead is large crystals that do not dissolve when you follow the instructions. Previously purchased gelatin powder was actually a powder that dissolved beautifully.

It works

I use it in dessert recipes. Honestly ever since the it's no longer powdered (which seems to have worked better) is a little more work, but I'm managing

New version does NOT dissolve!!

I’ve bought canisters of Amy Myers’ gelatin for years, and loved the powdery consistency and how well it dissolved. However, this new batch looks completely different; the large crystals (not a fine powder) look like Sugar In The Raw crystals. Tried every trick in the book and the crystals would NOT dissolve, even when mixed with boiling water. It was a nightmare washing all the stuck gelatin off my metal mixing bowl afterwards, too! And I had to pay for return shipping for each canister. Please inform customers when your product/manufacturer/process has changed so that we know to just try one bottle/canister before buying in bulk. Hope your manufacturer can revert back to their previous method of making this gelatin!
