FAQ’s
What is Salted Caramel Paleo Protein made of?
The Myers Way® Paleo Protein is a high-quality form of all-natural hydrolyzed bovine collagen. It’s sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef that is 100% non-GMO and free of any hormones or antibiotics.
Can my child use Salted Caramel Paleo Protein?
Yes, absolutely! The Myers Way® Salted Caramel Paleo Protein is perfectly safe for kiddos, provided they’re not allergic to any of its ingredients. Try making your kids a shake or smoothie with berries or other fruit for breakfast, or as a snack after school or sports. They will thank you for it!
What time of day should I enjoy Salted Caramel Paleo Protein?
The Myers Way® Paleo Protein is perfect any time of the day. I like it in my morning smoothies, and I have patients, family, and friends that tell me they enjoy it at all times of the day. Whether you’re mixing it into your morning coffee, smoothies or into shakes for dessert, you’ll find that it’s great around the clock. I even have a few friends who enjoy it right before bed to help them sleep!
Is Salted Caramel Paleo Protein okay to enjoy while pregnant or nursing?
Provided you are not allergic to any of the ingredients included in The Myers Way® Salted Caramel Paleo Protein, on any prescribed medications that could be contraindicated, or have been advised by your physician not to use protein powders for any reason, then The Myers Way® Paleo Protein is safe to use in the amounts recommended on the product label. If you have any concerns whatsoever, I always recommend speaking with your physician or other qualified healthcare provider before enjoying it.
Is Salted Caramel Paleo Protein damaged by heat?
All proteins are damaged by high heat to some extent. Proteins are long chains of amino acids bound together. High heat can potentially fold and warp the amino acid chains into new shapes and structures called amines that may be unusable by the body, or even harmful. This is the same reason why you should avoid charring or overcook meat. The proteins and peptides in my Salted Caramel Paleo Protein are quite stable at moderately high temps, so adding it to a hot cup of tea or coffee, or baking it at low temps (below 300 degrees) will not denature it too much.
Can I take Salted Caramel Paleo Protein if I’m allergic to tree nuts?
My Paleo Protein contains MCT oil derived from coconuts. Scientifically speaking coconuts are not tree nuts, they are in fact fruits classified as a “drupe.” Other drupes include palm fruit, peaches, berries, plums, and apricots. However, because the FDA has lumped coconuts in a group with other tree nuts for labeling purposes, etc., I am required to list them as a potential allergen. In fact, true coconut allergy is actually extremely rare with only a few cases reported in the medical literature. If you have a diagnosed tree nut allergy, please speak with your healthcare provider before consuming any products containing coconut.
How come there are fewer scoops in my container than the number listed on the label?
The listed amount of scoops per container is an approximation and can vary based on personal use such as how full you make your scoops, spilling it, how well you scrape out the container, etc. While the number listed is an approximation, it shouldn't vary considerably versus what you get.
Why do you use Stevia in your products?
As you know, the first pillar of The Myers Way® is to remove foods such as sugar, alcohol, and processed foods to help promote gut health. While following the first 30 days of The Myers Way®, I recommend avoiding all sugars, including naturally-derived sweeteners. This is particularly important if you’re addressing gut balance and supporting the gut microbiome.
However, if you’ve completed the protocol, you might be ready to enjoy the occasional, naturally sweetened indulgence!
I want to set you up for success so I only use naturally-derived sweeteners in my products. “Stevia” is a great natural sweetener used as a sugar substitute.
What is Stevia?
Stevia is a sweetener that is derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant which is native to Paraguay and Brazil.
How does Stevia compare to other sweeteners?
“Stevia’s” sweetness comes from steviol glycosides, which are between 50 and 300 times as sweet as sugar. It is a considered a naturally-derived alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners that may be gentler and more supportive of gut health and balance.
Is Stevia bad for you?
There have been a lot of stories about Stevia in the news which has caused some concern about using this ingredient in products and food you consume. The reason “Stevia” has been in the news is that it’s been found that several manufacturers have bulked up their “Stevia” by adding other artificial sweeteners, namely erythritol. We use only pure “Stevia” in our products and none of our products contain erythritol.

Why Buy from Amy Myers MD?
Finally, supplements from a source you can actually trust. After receiving my medical degree (M.D.) at Louisiana State University, I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center. In 2012, I became a certified functional medicine physician, so I could help my patients get to the root cause of their health problems.
Since then, I’ve gone on to write 2 New York Times bestselling books, as well as the Amazon #1 bestseller The Autoimmune Solution Cookbook. I’ve been a guest on the Dr. Oz Show 7 times, have starred in my own PBS special, and been featured in dozens of television, radio, and magazine interviews.
Many other supplement brands are run by fly-by-night operations looking to turn a quick buck. Not so with Amy Myers MD® — it’s one of the only health and wellness brands owned and operated by a real medical doctor (that’s me)!
You’ll know exactly what you’re getting because all products are 3rd party tested and verified. You may be surprised to know that the supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA and it’s up to the manufacturer to ensure they’re delivering high-quality products that contain what they say they do.
All of the supplements I carry in my store carry the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) seal, meaning they have been 3rd party tested for purity, quality, potency, and composition, so you can rest assured that you’re getting the key nutrients you’re paying for and that your body needs.
High-potency, pharmaceutical grade supplements to maximize value and impact.
Because I am a licensed physician, the supplements I carry are pharmaceutical grade, meaning they are higher quality and typically higher dosages than you can find in a health food store or online retailer.
This is vital because cost per unit is a key metric to look at when choosing supplements. If you look at a supplement such as my 100 Billion probiotic, you will find that you may need to take nearly an entire bottle of other probiotics to achieve the same potency.
My supplements contain no gluten, dairy, soy, GMOs, preservatives, dyes, or toxic ingredients. You’re not eating these inflammatory foods or toxins so why would you want them in your supplements?! I source all of the ingredients in my supplements from pure, clean sources.
There are a few incredibly rare exceptions where products contain trace amounts of dairy or egg because of the way they need to be formulated, however they are clearly marked on the product page and are in such low quantities that even my very sensitive patients typically have not had a reaction.
The highest quality ingredients in the form that is best absorbed and utilized by your body. The form and formulation of the vitamins and nutrients in your supplements make a difference! I have specifically sourced and formulated the ingredients in my products to be in their most bioavailable forms for maximum effectiveness.
Every product in my store has been personally vetted by me. Not only have I researched and tested every product I carry, I have also worked with thousands of patients to determine which formulations that produce the very best results.
Shopping is risk-free with my 90-day return guarantee. I stand behind all of the products I carry in my store. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply send the unused portion back to me, and we will refund your money.*
My team is committed to delighting and WOWing all of our customers with exceptional support. If you have questions about a product or how to place your order, my team of highly trained customer success specialists are here to support you via live chat, email, or phone.

The passage below is from the following article "What Is Inulin and Is It Good for You?" on your website, but in my experience, it does not ring true for IBS sufferers:
"Those with chronic gut and immune issues may get the most inulin benefits, especially those with SIBO or IBS."

This contains inulin. My gut hurts after eating this. I don't remember the old formula containing inulin. And it's also way too sweet.
