Gelatin is the perfect natural thickening agent for baked goods and gummies! Gelatin is incredibly versatile. You can mix it into hot beverages, soups or foods simply to add the health benefits of Gelatin, or, if you’d prefer it to “gel up”, you can mix it with cold liquids. This is useful for making gummies, custards, and other gelatin type desserts!
This Gelatin is one of my absolute favorite supplements and I use it nearly every day! There are a lot of different Gelatin choices out there, and it can be really difficult to find a clean, high-quality source. That’s why I custom formulated my own Gelatin powder. It’s sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised beef, and is also 100% non-GMO and kosher!
Gelatin comes from Collagen, and Collagen is the most important and abundant structural protein in your body. Think of collagen as the ‘glue’ that hold your body together. Your skin, bones, connective tissue, cartilage, and joints all depend on ample collagen to be healthy, strong and flexible. Gelatin is an excellent source of the amino acids found in Collagen!
Most of us cannot get enough Gelatin and Collagen from our diets alone. Even those of us eating a clean, healthy, paleo-inspired diet have trouble getting as much Gelatin and Collagen as our distant ancestors did, let alone enough for optimal health. Unless you’ve got an 8 quart crock pot simmering bone broth from grass-fed, antibiotic-free cow bones all day every day, then you are very likely in need of a high-quality Collagen or Gelatin supplement!
Gelatin is fantastic for those concerned with Leaky Gut. Gelatin is full of amino acids and peptides that help maintain and promote optimal gut lining health. The cells lining your intestinal tract absolutely love this stuff, and so many of my patients report greater digestive comfort after using it. Supporting the gut lining is absolutely paramount for those concerned with autoimmunity, healthy thyroid function, and a balanced and normal inflammation response.
The amino acids in my Gelatin are crucial if you’re looking to optimize the health of your muscles, bones, and joints, as well as your hair, skin, and nails. It’s even more important after the age of 40, when your body’s collagen production naturally declines. Why do we get wrinkles at the age of 40? Well, a lot of that has to do with not enough of the amino acids in Gelatin to support our body’s Collagen production!
Gelatin supports healthy weight management by optimizing lean muscle mass It even helps curb sugar cravings by assisting with healthy insulin production and pancreatic function. My grass-fed Gelatin is also rich in conditionally essential amino acids that many of us are lacking in, such as glycine, which supports a healthy mood and restful sleep.
My Gelatin powder is nearly tasteless and mixes easily into any hot or cold beverage. I love it in my hot tea, morning or night! You can add it to your favorite soup or even mix it in baked goods. Many of my patients mix into into their children’s baby food or use it to make desserts!

Gelatin is a nearly flavorless protein derived from cooking collagen. My Gelatin comes from pasture raised cows that are grass-fed, and never given GMO-feed or antibiotics.
How do I make a “Gelatin Egg”?
This recipe makes 1 “egg”. Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. grass-fed /pastured gelatin
1 Tbsp. lukewarm water
2 Tbsp. hot water
Mix the gelatin and 1 Tbsp. of lukewarm water together until the gelatin is wet. It will be a bit fluffy looking.
Pour 2 Tbsp. of hot water over the mixture and whisk vigorously. You will see the gelatin start to dissolve and it will turn into a thick, sticky paste.
Let the gelatin “egg” sit for a 2-3 minutes and then add to whatever you are making. Stir in until well combined and proceed as normal with the recipe.
NOTE: Gelatin “eggs” will work well in recipes where 1-3 eggs are required. In recipes calling for more than 3 eggs, you may start running into issues. There are some things that real eggs provide to a recipe that simply cannot be replaced by flax, chia, or gelatin eggs. You can definitely experiment, but I cannot guarantee recipes with 4+ eggs will turn out properly with the gelatin egg.
What time of day should I take the Gelatin?
Gelatin can be taken any time, day or night. I like to mix a scoop or two into my morning smoothie or add it to my hot tea before bed. It really helps support restful sleep!
How long should I take Gelatin?
Gelatin can be used indefinitely for best results. Many of my patients use Gelatin every day and have done so for years!
Is it safe for my child to take Gelatin?
Gelatin is safe for most kids, so long as they do not have a legitimate beef allergy. Gelatin contains amino acids that can help kids grow healthy bones and teeth! We always recommend speaking with your pediatrician before starting any new supplements.
Is Gelatin okay to take while pregnant or nursing?
Yes. Provided you are not allergic Gelatin from beef, on any prescribed medications that could be contraindicated, or have been advised by your physician not to take collagen for any reason, then The Myers Way® Gelatin is safe to use in doses recommended on the product label. If you have any concerns whatsoever, I always recommend speaking with your physician or other qualified healthcare provider.
Is Gelatin damaged by heat?
All protein are damaged by high heat to some extent. Proteins are long chains of amino acids bound together. High heat can potentially fold and warp these amino acid chains into new shapes and structures called amines that may be unusable by the body, or even harmful. This is why you should avoid charring or overcook meat. The proteins and peptides in my Gelatin are already hydrolyzed, so adding it to a hot cup of tea or coffee, or baking it at low temps (below 400 degrees) will not denature it too much, if at all.
How does Dr. Myers’ Gelatin differ from her Collagen Protein and Paleo Protein?
My Paleo Protein is a complete protein made from hydrolyzed beef that comes from grass fed, pasture grazing cows raised with care in Europe. It is a diverse combination of essential and nonessential amino acids, as well as branched chain amino acids, similar to what you would find in a high quality steak. Complete protein is essential for muscle and tissue repair, enzyme formation, and much much more. Conversely, my Collagen Protein is a very special type of protein sourced from the hides of grass fed, pasture roaming cows raised with care in Brazil. Collagen Protein is a special blend of primarily four amino acids that are actually quite lacking in the standard western diet. These amino acids support your own body’s ability to synthesize collagen, which is your body’s primary structural protein. Collagen is essential for a healthy gut lining, strong hair, skin, and nails, connective tissue, and much much more. My team and I are often asked which type of protein is best, and because they vary so widely in their benefits, the answer is almost always, “Both!” Gelatin is often called “cooked collagen” as it is sourced directly from collagen. Many of the health benefits of collagen are also found in my Gelatin!
You’ll know exactly what you’re getting because all products are 3rd party tested and verified. You may be surprised to know that the supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA and it’s up to the manufacturer to ensure they’re delivering high-quality products that contain what they say they do.
All of the supplements I carry in my store carry the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) seal, meaning they have been 3rd party tested for for purity, quality, potency, and composition, so you can rest assured that you’re getting the key nutrients you’re paying for and that your body needs.
High-potency, pharmaceutical grade supplements to maximize value and impact.
Because I am a licensed physician, the supplements I carry are pharmaceutical grade, meaning they are higher quality and typically higher dosages than you can find in a health food store or online retailer.
This is vital because cost per unit is a key metric to look at when choosing supplements. If you look at a supplement such as my 100 Billion probiotic, you will find that you may need to take nearly an entire bottle of other probiotics to achieve the same potency.
My supplements contain no gluten, dairy, corn, soy, GMOs, preservatives, dyes, or toxic ingredients. You’re not eating these inflammatory foods or toxins so why would you want them in your supplements?! I source all of the ingredients in my supplements from pure, clean sources.
There are a few incredibly rare exceptions where products contain trace amounts of dairy or egg because of the way they need to be formulated, however they are clearly marked on the product page and are in such low quantities that even my very sensitive patients typically have not had a reaction.
The highest quality ingredients in the form that is best absorbed and utilized by your body. The form and formulation of the vitamins and nutrients in your supplements make a difference! I have specifically sourced and formulated the ingredients in my products to be in their most bioavailable forms for maximum effectiveness.
Every product in my store has been personally vetted by me. Not only have I researched and tested every product I carry, I have also worked with thousands of patients to determine which formulations that produce the very best results.
Shopping is risk-free with my 30-day return guarantee. I stand behind all of the products I carry in my store. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply send the unused portion back to me, and we will refund your money.
My team is committed to delighting and WOWing all of our customers with exceptional support. If you have questions about a product or how to place your order, my team of highly trained customer success specialists are here to support you via live chat, email, or phone.
